Dr. Akpokerere Othuke Emmanuel hails from Ozoro the headquarters of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. He speaks Isoko and English fluently. He attended Amawhe Primary School, Ozoro where he got his First School Leaving Certificate and Notre Dame College, Ozoro for his Senior School Certificate Examination. He bagged a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance from Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State in 2005. In his quest for further studies, he proceeded for his Master's degree in Banking and Finance and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) with specialization in Banking and Finance from Nnamdi Azikikwe University of Credit Administration, Nigeria in 2019. Student Member Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (2006). He is currently working as a Lecturer in Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro. he is the pioneer Ag. Head of Department of Banking and Finance. He was a staff and the last Head of Department of Banking and Finance, School of Business Studies in the defunct Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro. Besides he held other positions such as Chairman, Certificate Screening Committee 2019 - August 2021, Member ICT Development Committee (2019 - 2020), department students staff adviser (2017 - 2019) and Course Adviser (2013 - 2016) As an erudite academia, he have taught some courses in the University and many in the ND and HND levels of the Defunct Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, among these courses are elements of banking, principle and practice of insurance, business finance, business research methods, international finance, financial management and management bank and financial institutions. He is a scholar who find pleasure in teaching and researching and have published copiously in reputable journals both locally and internationally, and has also co-contributed a chapter in entrepreneurship textbook of the defunct Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro. He is happily married and blessed with lovely children, a devoted Christian who believes "Practice what you Preach" and takes exquisite pleasure in upholding ethics and principles of the Christian Faith.
